The Pentalk Rural Archive Project

The Pentalk Rural Archive Panel discuss recent contributions from Pentalk membersThe Pentalk Rural Archive Project aims to gather a collection of contemporary digital images of farming and rural life in Cumbria, taken by Pentalk members in the farming community. Every month a panel of experts chaired by Lady Cressida Inglewood picks out the best contributions to the Project, and in 2009 these will be exhibited throughout Cumbria and in 2010, after a final exhibition in the new record office, the Pentalk Rural Archive Project will be deposited in appropriate format in the County Archive Collection to form a permanent historical record of farming in the early 21st Century for future generations.

The exhibition has been arranged by season and you can see all the images by clicking on the links on the right hand side. If you have any comments please email them to mailbox@pentalk.org
