Welcome to Cumbria's own Pentalk Network

The Pentalk Network helps Cumbrian farmers acquire IT skills and use them in their personal and farm business lives. It supplies training materials and organises an IT training programme in partnership with a range of providers including Watershed training, which owns and runs the computer bus. Its local email cascade is part of the county's emergency planning framework.

By establishing regular communication systems and projects for its 2020 farms, Pentalk helps farmers practice and develop their skills.  A farmers' website www.pentalk.org gives useful local and international information and encourages interactive use, including a popular blog. A monthly on line news sheet, the Cumbria Courier, gives County -wide and local news. Two projects: a Farming Archive of images supplied by members of its on line photoclub and an opportunity to trace Farm History offer the opportunity to expand and enjoy their skills.
